Sneak Peek: Game of Thrones Season 3 Character Shots

Closer and closer, we inch toward the premiere of HBO’s adaptation of George Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire series, Game of Thrones-Season 3 and it seems every week something new, drips from the grape vein. The latest are the character stills for the coming season and  a tiny rumor about the premiere episode.

I’m not one to care much about synopses, but this show is special, for I know,  what is to come. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean that I’m more eager to track the story’s every move. However, this blurb does very little in the spoiler department and for those that need a nibble to tide them over, well, this might do the trick.

*If, by chance you are still concerned about being spoiled (and I don’t blame you), just scroll down to the pics.

Rumored synopsis: Jon is brought before Mance Rayder, the King Beyond the Wall, while the Night’s Watch survivors retreat south. In King’s Landing, Tyrion asks for his reward, Littlefinger offers Sansa a way out, and Cersei hosts a dinner for the royal family. Arya runs into the Brotherhood Without Banners. Dany sails into Slaver’s Bay.

Truly, this “synopsis” is more of a summary of possible key events in the premiere, which, for spoiler freaks is pretty good. But with that said, I will bet this rumor is close to correct, though anyone who’s read the novel could make this educated guess. The preview should be dropping any second, but it’s nice to have something to hold onto as we wait.

The third season of Game of Thrones begins March 31, 2013.

Dragonstone

“The truth is all around you, plain to behold. The night is dark and full of terrors, the day bright and beautiful and full of hope. One is black, the other white. There is ice and there is fire. “You’re mine. Mine, as I’m yours. And if we die, we die. All men must die, Jon Snow. But first, we’ll live.”  Ygritte (Rose Leslie)

“We will fight a battle, and then we will rest. Alive or dead, we’ll rest.”  Jon Snow (Kit Harrington)

On the Road

“One voice may speak you false, but in many there is always truth.”  Daenerys Stormborn, “The Khalessi” (Emilia Clarke)
