Manly. Dreamy (jin). Gravitas. Those are the first things that come to mind when I think about this oppa. For he has a way of embodying all of these, regardless of his role. And he’s played it all, from mystic to king, adulterer to recluse. I always find interesting to know what actors think about their craft, how/why they chose it, etc.
But for Oppa, his family is still number one. During his I Have a Lover press conference, he revealed he does his best, simply because his children believe he is the best. Which makes him work to prove them right. And though that may seem cute, I find it to be the epitome of those three words above.

We’re back! And the countdown continues, with an oppa that has worked with some of the best and most delightful actresses around and seems to not only spark a synergy with them all on-screen, but also appears to genuinely get along with them all as well. Of course, that could be because he has a lot of women in his family or perhaps, it’s just because he just so stinking cute! However, don’t let his current adorable ways fool you, because this guy can be just as debonair and sexy as the best of them.
If you haven’t had the privilege of seeing this oppa’s serious or sexy side, you should definitely check out his OCN crime drama TEN (or you know, basically anything he’s done before last year 😉 . Continue reading The Distractors’ Holiday Cut: Countdown with Oppa
I can’t believe we are winding down another year! It’s been a decent drama year for me personally, but not much to write about (or rather, nothing that was more than gushing or ranting). When you’ve seen an adaptation several times, the significance and steam spurts out pretty quickly. The initial fervor and meaning, from its conceptual medium gets squashed and it’s forever remembered as the horrible drama or film, that makes you wish there was a Rumpelstiltskin potion you could acquire that makes you “unsee” things. Therefore, no one can help but be a little jaded and skeptical when yet another adaptation of Kaoru Tada‘s mega popular manga, “Itazura na Kiss” was announced.

Now this is a special I can understand! It was announced late last week that Spring ratings topper ATARU, will get it’s own “special” in 2013. Unlike other “special” announcements, this one actually makes sense, for the ratings are a big guarantee that audiences want to see this cast again. And, thankfully, the entire wacky crew will be back together.
To be honest, I would definitely appreciate an entire new season, but I suppose one has to make do with what she’s given.
