Dharma Productions has been on a roll with back to back intriguing releases and a current dance tour with Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra, stars of the upcoming release Baar Baar Dekho. And while I am interested in that time boggling feature as well, what has caught my eye more is the teaser for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Released earlier today were the first three poster stills for the film that claims to encompass love, passion and intense friendship.
Karan Johar will helm this film three years after indie submission Bombay Talkies and I am personally getting a strong Khabi Alvida Na Kehna vibe from the project. In my book, that’s a good thing because hopefully this story will be as emotionally complicated as its title vaguely suggests.
The film is set for a Diwali premiere but the production house has promised yet another sneak peek tomorrow…
Guess we’ll just have to wait and watch.
Double dipping in nothing new, especially for Asian actors and India is notorious for overlapping projects. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Shah Rukh Khan is not only currently filming his reunion with Kajol but also Ritesh Sidhwani‘s (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Kathik Calling Karthik) film Raees. Shooting began in April releasing its first teaser in mid-July. Continue reading First Look: Raees
I honestly don’t get the chance to write about many Telegu language films, mainly because news on releases isn’t as widely accessible and I also am not as well versed or exposed to the language or medium. However, the Southern Indian film industry produces some excellent stories and is filled with some of the best Indian actors around. Thankfully, some powers that be, have decided to branch out to create more films that appeal to international audiences and the first of many is epic war film Bahubali; which has now been coined the most expensive Indian film made (snatching the moniker from Shah Rukh Khan‘s Ra.One (2011)). Continue reading Movie Moment: Bahubali
If you follow me anywhere else in the socialsphere (here, here, here or here) there’s no way you’ve missed that I have totally been bitten by this adorable Thai rom-com The Ugly Duckling Series. It’s an adaption of four YA novels by Jamsai, centered around four college girls who can be considered “ugly.” The first installment, Perfect Match (my initial impressions are still listed in my Lakorn Lookbook—>), is currently airing and I have no doubts it will remain my favorite of the four, however, the other parts sound fairly interesting as well. And if they are as warm-hearted and endearing… well, I’ll just have to gobble them up too!

My favorite OTP anywhere, doing anything (EVER!) is slated to release their eighth motion picture film together by the end of the year. That’s right, kids, you read correctly— Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are back! I don’t really think it’s possible to surpass this couple in my book as perfection because they work for so many reasons in my mind on and off-screen. It’s true, I’d never want to see them portray anything besides lovers but I sincerely believe their synergy as actors could pull off any role opposite one another and in an alternate universe, would love to see them give it a try.
